Giuliante Machine Tool Inc. (GMT) has served the Aerospace, Defense, Space, Hydraulic, & Nuclear industries since 1978. From a simple beginning as a two man operation in a small 3,500 square foot shop in Port Chester, NY to the expansion to 10,000 square feet from 1995 to 2010, to the present 27,000 square foot organization it is today, GMT has earned a reputation for Superior Quality, Vision, and Customer Satisfaction.
GMT started primarily as a milling supplier to the commercial and aerospace markets. During the mid 1980's, customer requests to add gear cutting services were answered by the purchase of a small shaping machine. It was a decision that would guide the next 25 years of business. As new customers developed, we required the addition of gear cutting equipment as well as increased capacity in turning and cylindrical grinding.
Today, the majority of our business is focused on the manufacture of gears for the aerospace market. Having the ability to also produce complex configurations due to our machining roots we offer complete print to assembly manufacturing.
The key to a good gear is a good blank. Several of our competitors simply farm out work and cut the gears on the subcontracted parts. We do all finish machining in house under one roof. This has been a niche market with customers. We do not simply cut gears and certify work performed by others, we provide solutions.
The diversity of work performed by GMT has allowed us to take on many difficult customer manufacturing challenges and continually prove our value as a cost efficient and dependable supplier. Today, GMT is one of the few remaining gear and manufacturing job shops in the greater New York City region. This success is not based merely on luck. Our attention to Quality and Customer Service has gained us a strategic advantage with our customers.
We employ the use of advanced machining technologies, computer job tracking systems and Cad/Cam Programming Software. The ability of GMT to adapt to the ever changing business climate has secured our future as a reputable and dependable supplier well into the 21st Century.
